Default 600rwhp/523rwtq LS7 Vette

Here's a dyno of a Corvette I just tuned. It has a 430ci LS7 installed in a 2004 C5. The heads have been mildly ported, it has 1 7/8" Kooks headers, Stainless Works catback, K&N CAI, Harland Sharp LS7 rockers, and 245/254 114LSA cam. It's pretty fast.

Nice results Pat! Any idea why the hp peaks then immediately drops off after 6650rpms?

I like it a lot Pat. Where did the extra cubes come from ?? A bore cleanup and oversize pistons ?? Are the pistons forged ?? Internals too ??

Pistons are slightly oversized and they are forged. Static compression is 11.5:1. The motor was built by LME 2 years ago and this dyno run was made with 25k miles on the engine. The customer added an aluminum flywheel/LS7clutch combo and the HS rockers since last time he dynoed. He was in the 582-585rwhp range before so he was pleased that the last 2 squirrel mods got him to the magical 600. He's a 67 year old farmer who drives this Vette everywhere. He especially loves spanking crotch rockets from a roll, haha.

He is running through a closed exhaust (Stainless Works). With around 700 hp going though semi-quiet mufflers, I would expect the restriction gets pretty intense in the upper revs. I'll have to drop the mufflers some time and see if my theory is confirmed.
