Shelby gt500 kill!!!
So I was driving around minding my own business when a guy in a gray Shelby with black stripes pulls up next to me at the red light. I lookeed over at him and he kept blipping the throttle and I started to smerk with a childish grin on my face as I knew what future event was about to take place. The light hit green and I eased into first as he popped it. He was about 2 car lengths ahead of me as I ramped through first and slammed second as my car hooked like never before (Courteousy of my BMR equipment Thanks Dennis!). I Pulled him as I shifted to third. As I was raping it, I could hear his supercharger struggle to try to keep up. I barked fourth with about 3 car lengths and then at 6 lengths I shut it down. I was so amped and proud of my baby that I spent 2 hours earlier dialing in the suspension. Damn I love these adjustable suspension parts. Atleast I know the power I make actually gets where it needs to go. As I made my turn I gave a knod as he passed and gave me a thumbs up. Until we meet again....Next time I'll have the heads and et streets..not that I needed them.

That is true but you never know how well the other guy can drive also, my TA with suspension,lid,ported TB,and Loudmouth with shorty headers kept right next to a GT500 on the freeway. Granted,it was a vert, he had a passenger and had the car for only a couple months. It just shows how much a good driver comes into play with those cars...and ill be the first to say it,He SHOULD have beat me.

I agree on teh doubtful 8 lengths. Nice kill though as a kill is def. possible. At first I would think it was a GT with a body kit, btu you said you heard the S/C. maybe after he had the 2 lengths on you he decided to let off of WOT. If he launched well enough to gain 2 lengths on the get go, I dont' see how he is a crappy enough driver to have lost 8 lengths.
Maybe the OPS sig isnt' updated with mods though.....like a nice bottle?

honestly, i dont think anyone can estimate car lengths perfectly, especially if you are more worried about shifting and hes behind you. GT500s dissapoint me in a big way though, i wanted a s197 mustang when i was younger until ford decided it was acceptable to make one that weighed two tons WITH a solid rear end... pitiful.
