The other day I was cleaning the desk, and I happen to look up at a picture that I had taken with Indy Car driver Bobby Rahal when he was in New Hampshire doing PR work. This got me to thinking about all the rod end and bearing failures that I've read about on this board beacaus some company would cut cost using cheap garbage. The place the picture was taken was New Hampshire Ball Bearing. They are well known throughout motorsports and its' many venues for making high quality rod ends, roller bearing, ball bearings, spherical bearings and such. All their stuff is super high quality and is way better than what you'd find on most aftermarket parts. I can attest to this, as having been a quality control inspector for 6-7 years in the aerospace industry. Whenever we got stuff from NHBB it always matched up with the blueprints and passed the tests. They are also on the extremely stringent and expensive ISO quality control program through out the world for companies that get to a real high level of quality and maintain it.
For you guys that race or do weekends races at the track in your dual purpose machines, just do yourself a favor and give these guys a call and get a catalog. They are very nice and will know what you are talking about as they are big into motorsports and defense. Here's their link below:
