I sent the tranny to T56Rebuilds.com, just to minimize any drive train weaknesses. The tranny got the following upgrades:
* steel 1-2 slider ass'y
* steel 3-4 slider ass'y
* billet slider keys (3-4 & 5-6 slider)
* 3-4 steel fork
* 1-2, 3-4, & 5-6 bronze fork pads
* carbon synchro ring kit
I installed a Pro 5.0 shifter when the tranny came back.
The clutch is a Textralia Z700 w/billet steel flywheel. With the tranny, clutch, Strange drive shaft, and Dana 60 rear end, I think I'll be ready for stickies this summer. Lordy, compared to the OEM 10-bolt, the Dana 60 looks like something that came from under a dump truck.
