Default Ran across a 911 Turbo

I was out driving around after just getting back from Georgia (sucked and I feel sick from the cold) for an early Thanksgiving. I was driving for about an hour before I found a blue newer 911 though it looked like a GT2 with the rear wing but it only said "Turbo" on the rear bumper, instead of "GT2" for a GT2, duh. I guess he had a GT2 wing on it, anyway, I had to follow the A-hole for 30 more minutes before we had a chance, he was driving too fast (you know the type).

Finally we caught a light and when it went green I nailed it and he did nothing. Luck would have it, we caught the very next light and he starts asking me all these questions (like a C6 has walked him before ) anyway, the light goes green, he says "show me" and I just nail it and he follows. I had a slight jump obviously but held it all the way until 90ish where it seemed like I was inching away when I let off due to downtown traffic and not wanting to be too stupid. I guess its more of a tie than a kill but I thought I would loose anyway since my car spins SO MUCH now and I have to race with the traction control ON. I've tried running in Competetive driving mode but it just spins too much, with traction control off, forget about racing.

The guy was very cool, gave me the thumbs up. Always fun.

I really love this car with so few mods and the A6 trans! Cam, exhaust, pulley and a tune.

Thanks guys, I don't have any tire options for a 19" wheel yet. Not really anyway. Nitto is supposed to come out wth a 19" by the end of this year they say. Until then, I will have to learn to pedal it.

Nice race, man. I've run a couple of those Porsche Turbos and they definitely move out. They take off quick on the line, as well, so you always gotta bring your game face....or in your case some real tires.

Nice. What is the labor time for the cam install? Does a pulley do much?

Not that it mattered, was it a 993, 996 (odd shaped headlights) or 997?

Sounds like fun. Has anyone mentioned that you may want to look into some tires.

The cam took me a week working on it after work here and there. Very large job actually. I even had to yank the whole steering rack (major PITA). Then it took 3 tires at the tune but now its perfect.

Pulley is good for 8-10rwhp and it sure does save a few pounds

It was this one.

I was curious about thier times/trap so on Dragtimes.com they have a few running high 11's @ 120-121 which is exactly where my car should be as well thus the door to door race.

http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche-911...lip-15009.html

Now when I throw my TEA heads on next week, it should be a bit quicker.

What size rims are on the c5zo6s? I thought they were 19's as well. My buddy had two of them, both were on 305 nitto 555R's.

PS2s work well on these C6's and come in stock sizes..I've been writing to Nitto for two years now to make a stock size DR for the C6, they make a 20 incher , but no 19...crazy. Anyways, like i said , the PS2s work well, with the exception of 40 degree or cooler temps, then they suck as badly as all the other max performance tires.

I have nearly new KDW's now but the PS2's are so exspensive.

I have 20" wheels on my SRT8 and I can get 555R's for that! WTF?

I really love Nittos (always on my Cobra) and hope they have one soon otherwise I will have to get creative, 18x10 rear C6's wheels.

Thanks for the advice.
