As mentioned, it's never been more than a rumor. While that turbo ecotec is a great powerplant, I don't know how much more efficient it would be than the 3.6L because it's going to have to pull more weight around than it does in the Cobalt and Solstice/Sky. And I don't think the HHR's weight that much either.

The way things are going with CAFE standards may be more likelyto see a Hybrid version.
