IAC valve---95/96 different???

IAC valve---95/96 different??? They look the same, but have different part numbers. Will a 95' IAC work on my 96? The 95's are stocked everywhere and cheaper. The 96's I have to order even from the dealer, what's the deal. Throttle bodies interchange I believe, so why don't these part numbers cross reference?
