I need to get some new headers (longtubes) - (mine are rusted to the point that theyre as thin as tin foil). I don't know what to get though. I don't want to spend more than $500 and prefferably a y-pipe included in that price, if not, thats fine. All I can think of for that category is, Jet-hots, LPP's, pacesetters (no thanks) and dynatech's.. What do you all suggest? I know everyone's going to say LPP's, being the new hype (I'm sure it's a great product though), but what exactly needs to be done to make them fit? Anyone have any experience with Dynatech's? Opinions welcomed..

lpps are well worth the minor modifications that need to be done. lpp gets my vote.

I've had my Dynatechs for 3-4yrs now. Only complaint is plug access to #3 and #4 plug. The rest of them arent too bad, and great ground clearance.

If I could go back and do it again I'd deal with the small modifications you have to do to use the LPP headers, they look amazing. I have JetHots/Hookers now and love them but the whole SS part would be awesome.

I've been running JetHot almost 4 yrs now. Coating still look good, better than some out there. LPP ss are one of the best out there right now, I think.

I would say for the best hp and torque go with Mac mid-length headers and there y-pipe 469.99 and it is a 28.4 hp gain over stock.

Only thing that worries me about the LPP's is the heat they will produce, and the potential burning of plug wires (especially wire from cylinder 7 - that tucks between the primaries and block).

LPP's are stainless, stepped, and relativity cheap. and they look awesome! run OTVC spark plug wires

I ran OTVC wires before and they sucked. Arc'd off of everything. Maybe I'll do an MSD OTVC setup

I sold my JUNK Pacesetter's to try the LPP's. Havent installed them yet, but I wouldnt buy any exhaust peice that isnt stainless steel. Ive learned my lesson. And BTW dont worry about heat. Stainless steel holds in heat better than mild steel does. Thats why you really dont need a coating on Stainless headers.
