Default 12bolt center piece

Hey, I may be able to get a good condition, factory 12bolt piece off a friend for very cheap.

How much better would a factory 12 bolt be then our shitty *** rears? What else would I need to install the 12bolt and what "mods" should I do on the 12bolt to make it stronger? (gonna definitely change the gearing and a limited slip if it doesn't have one).

Doesn't anybody create axle packages for the 12bolt as they do with the 9"?

you can get axles made for anything. you need the f-body spring perches, panhard bracket, lca brackets, and a torque arm mount that was never made into any other rearend other than the 7.5 10 bolt f-body rearend. it's not a axle issue... it's the housing.

Well put...so to the original poster, are you buying a housing, or the internals?

Only thing with 12 bolts and a 'center piece' like a ford 9" is a chevy rear from the 50's, which is garbage these days.
