17-18" wheels with DEEP lips.
I'm going to copy the 360 wheel on the newer vettes with the centers black and the lip color matched to the car and i've been looking around at different 19" wheels. I had my mind made up - I was going to get HP EVOs 19" all around.
I looked at a TON of cars with 19" wheels and I think they are just too big for me.
This is how the car looks and sits currently.
I think I might want to stick to 17s, MAYBE go to 18s as long as they are at least 9.5" wide and have a deep lip.
Money isn't really a concern, but I don't want to spend 3k on wheels when I will have 2 other sets in the garage.
I'm going to use my 17x9/11" ZR1s for track wheels (MT ET Street rears) powdercoated gold, and just keep the Z06's around for a rainy day.
What do you guys suggest? Pics would be appreciated. My car is red but I have a pretty good imagination so any F-body will do so I can get an idea of how they fill the wheel well and whatnot.
Thanks guy.s

hmm... i'm looking around some more and i kinda dig the 18" R-505's and R-507's from RPM...
*edit*
here's a pic of wheels similar to the R-507s... thought they looked pretty neat and these wheels are actually pretty cheap....
*edit again*
doesn't look like they offer them for F-body cars...

Hi Jon, Jason from Chicago/Scottsdale here.
Your kind of limited on rear lip due to the Backspace on the cars. The best way to get maximum lip is to pick out a wheel that curves in, Or narrow your rear end.
With a majority of 9.5" wheels, the Bs is around 7-7.5" so now add for the material of the wheel and you can how the lip can shrink.
Hows AZ?

i love the black center/color matched lip look.... but honestly i think a 17 is too small to pull off that look, 18/19 combo would pull it off much nicer in my opinion.

I'm going to eventually go 12 bolt but not for some time... gotta buy a DD before the car can be down for more than a couple days.
AZ is alright, strip club industry is a bit slow now but picking back up. How is it out in Chi-town? I haven't seen you in a couple years man you should head back out here and hang out.
If you've got any wheels you want to suggest that you carry I can get them through you Thanks buddy

My 19x11 (rear) ATPs have a huge lip...fronts (18x9.5) aren't too shabby either. Here is a rather poor pic on my unfinished 91.

I have 18x9 out back with a 3' lip they are rpm 505s
I like those 360 vettes and I like your idea. The only thing is that they have big lips and big wheels so I think 17s wouldnt work and 19s are too big for you 18 may be your best bet and there lots of choices it just depends on your budget. Good luck with your search.

they are on the HRE website I believe.
I like those RPM wheels the more I see them.
The girlfriend is getting her **** done first and then we're moving on to my car. I think her priorities are backwards but I doubt I'll be that upset at the finished product (not talking about my car)

I dont think the 360 style will look good on a smaller wheel. I have 19s on my car, and I personally dont think they look too big. I think if your going to do this you need to step up to a 19, maybe an 18 will look ok.
