Default pushrods...stock vs hardened

I need some insight....

Pro's vs con's

I have been told that hardened pushrods are not so good....(mught just be someone slinging around mud)

I did a cam change...see my sig.....
I did the pushrods at the same time.....
but if the stock ones would have been better to keep in.....
maybe I did them because the guy at MTI recommended I do....
but if it was a bad idea then I will change back...unless it was for length reasons...then Its all good...I guess???

somebody enlighten me....please.

some people have said stock ones are good as a "fuse" if there is a missed shift, the pushrod will break and not the valve stem (floating the valves). but not many buy into that. with stock pushrods you WILL bend them eventually even playing on the street with missed shifts. hardened ones are the key. you did just fine. MTI and RMS know their stuff.

Anyone that thinks stock pushrods are "A fuse" I really think is just grabbing out of air...hell I've known people to bend pushrods and valves...stay w/the hardened ones. When I pulled my 90,000 mile PR's out when I did my H/C swap 2 were bent slightly and I've NEVER reved past 6400 w/the stock cam....hell I don't go over 6500 w/the X1...but fact is the stockers are weak and will bend..you car will loose power and you'll have to do the work 2x's...

My best advice...learn how to drive try not to miss shifts...no matter what you do that's gonna be trouble for ur car period.
