Default Texas Fan Damit...

let me say congrats to OU on the beatdown on OKS as much as I hate to say it I think we are heading to the Fiesta Bowl unless Missouri can get the job done. OKS looked like they just ran out of gas tonight...

61 is a LOT of points. I think it will be enough to sway the polls. Still, 41 is a LOT of points to allow, too.

I still think OU will get in. If they do, I hope they don't spit the bit in their bowl game AGAIN this year.

Yep, I think Texas is gonna get screwed by the BCS BS.
As it's been said before, where's the F'ing playoff system?

Congrat's to OK, they did look good tonight but I'll be bitter nonetheless.

ou shouldn't jump ut. UT took care of their business as well. OU sure did give up a lot of points and their offense bails them out. Head to Head Fu** OU!

college definitely needs a playoff system. Missouri doesn't deserve to play in the big 12 and neither does ou deserve to jump ut..

Well, I am quite worried with Austin Box possibly out for the season at MLB. Remember, he was Ryan Reynolds replacement when Reynolds went out during the RRS. Austin Box was coming along quite nicely. We are down to our 3rd string MLB which has me worried for the bowl game.

But khibbits, I like that Avatar....boomer sooner.

Do you mind if mmiller sports that avatar when the BCS rankings come out tomorrow?

I don't think the computers are going to like Texas much after this weekend which is what kept them above OU by the narrowest of margins. Take a look at the teams that were on UT's schedule and how they did this weekend:

Colorado-L
Missouri-L
Florida Atlantic-W
UTEP-L
Rice-W
Ark-W

And OU's opponents:

Cincy-W
Nebraska-W

We will see tomorrow, but I still say OU will trump UT in the BCS standings. Sorry horns..

i started this thread to show some UT fans can swallow the pill and say congrats it doesn't take a genious to say that OU will jump Ut in the polls. While I looked in on the USC game they were riding the Trojans Nuts by saying they are the best team in the nation I just hope the USC nuthuggers don't jump them over UT.

Edit; I still think we could put a double digit win on OU Tom. if we had a chance. not trying to be an *** OU beats good teams by being fast and physical and wearing down their opponents in the later stages of the game, UT matches that intensity but ou couldn't wear down the Horns so the better conditioned Team with the most Talent won. I'm just trying to give MMiller a little help not that he needs it.. LOL...

"we are hot now"
vs
"45-35"

I dont think it matters that Mac didnt try to run up the score on A&M, they didnt hold much weight this year
I hate when people talk about "style points"

i really don't think there was a beat down tonight... i mean really, OSU scored 41 points on this amazing OU team...

it was only a 21point lead by a last rushing play of the game... we'll see how much the voters were swayed by tomorrow afternoon.

END ALL SAY ALL, PLEASE OU... if you guys jump us please don't choke like you have the past couple bowl games.

yep, the only thing that kept texas was the neutral win

but that'll go away this weekend, and I can't see how not otherwise

so what if texas was the better team then, the rankings aren't "hey whats the best overall team throughout the season" its "who's is the best team right now"

yes texas dominated a&m, but the poll almost went OU's way after the tech game, and now another top 15 win...it's almost certain, bets?

I don't see how OU can't pass Texas in the polls....OU crushed another top 20 team while Texas beat A&M....

Bening a Huge UT fan, I was watching the games like a hawk this weekend, and was pulling for OU to win while aswell as pulling for OSU to keep it close, OU did their part and getting the win but man did they not look like the same OU team that we have seen the past few weeks, jmo....Not a big fan of how the Big 12 is the only conference that decides tie breakers by poll points which is a big **** dumpster system...Notice everyone bitching about the computers not going to like UT this week, when in reality the computers dont matter seeing they only account for 1/3 of the votes, the other 2/3 come from the coaches within the Big 12 and the human voters.....Who you think Mizzou is going to want to play, an OU team that can run the score up to 60+ points? or a rematch with Texas??? I'm not saying that's the way it will go but just somthing to think about....but my argument is this, If OU would have lost, Tech woul jump from the 7 spot to the 2 spot ahead of Texas cause of the win Tech has over Texas, soooo that bing the case for that, how can you put OU ahead of a team that beat them?.....just don't make a whole lot of sence when you put it that way........and agreed, the BCS needs to be modified into a Division 1 style playoff bracket....Versus had a simulated Playoff bracket that I would have like to see happen.....1st round pitted Texas vs. Tech...guess we will see when the BCS polls are annouced later today

On the road, at night, to an undefeated team, at the end of a the hardest 4 game stretch in the country, by a miracle last second TD. It would just be retarded for two teams to play for the Big 12 championship when they both lost to Texas.

The BCS poll should be close today. Hopefully a lot of voters look at the head to head for the final week and saw OU give up 41 last night.

This guy is usually pretty accurate...

Nov 30: Real Early BSC Projection. I have kept the Human polls the same and estimated the computers. OU will jump to #2. UF's SOS took a beating with losses by Georgia and S.Car to ACC rivals GT and Clem. UF's projected SOS dropped from #1 to #12. UF will need a good lead in the human polls over OU and Tex to overcome the deficit they will have in the computers...assuming they beat Alabama.

Computer Coach's HI BCS
Rank Team W L Pts Rank Points BCS Rank Points BCS Total
1 Alabama 12 0 0.95 1 1518 0.995 1 2839 0.996 0.9805
2 Oklahoma 11 1 0.96 2 1412 0.926 3 2598 0.912 0.9325
3 Texas 11 1 0.95 4 1370 0.898 4 2577 0.904 0.9175
4 Florida 11 1 0.82 3 1401 0.919 2 2644 0.928 0.8888
5 Southern Cal 10 1 0.74 5 1288 0.845 5 2387 0.838 0.8074

So, he's thinking OU and UT meet up in the NC game if Florida beats Bama? That seems somewhat far-fetched, and I'm not sure the BCS has the ***** to do it. They really wanted to a few years ago, when Michigan and Ohio State (notice the lack of "The", because that's a stupid tradition) were both flying high, but the feeling was "the fans" didn't want to see a rematch.

UT really made up a lot of ground in the coaches poll. I still think they are going to come up a **** hair short.
