Default so ya this car is something else

2008 grand prix gxp 28k. about a week ago my car went into limp home mode aka service traction control light and reduced engine power. take it into the dealer the maf sensor was bad so they had to order another one . 5 days after the car is fixed it goes into limp home mode again. heres the kicker the first time it did that was about 20 miles after a full tank of gas. the second time about 20 miles after i put a full tank in. also after sitting overnight the car is driveable again but now its just the engine light on. anyone have any suggestions or experienced this before?

Sounds to me like you may have a short somewhere. I have an 07 g5 that would do the same thing and is still doing it. I am sure the maf is bad, but it has been doing this since about 6 months after I got it. I bought it brand new. You may want to have someone break into your computer and give it a look around.

Bad battery? Have them clean the TB and flash the computer with the most recent updates. That is what fixed my problem and it sound similar to yours.
