hey guys i just bought a 2005 GTO about a month ago and it needed a new battery so i took the old one out, went to autozone, purchased a $200 Optima gel battery, and put it in but as soon as i connect the terminals the fan turns on and the horn stays on, so i take out the horn fuse reinstall the battery, the fan turns on again and i go to turn the car on but it has no power, WTF!!! need help, very frustrated...

That's really strange, but my hatch popped once when putting in a new battery. Make sure ignition is off, connect positive first, relays will click on and off when tightening the negative. Last one I put in my car wouldn't crank either, had to loosen/retighten the positive cable to be sure it was fully seated.
