Sell, or not to sell?

Sell, or not to sell?
Was just wanting some imput from everyone. I'm not sure this is the right section, but... I currently have a 94 that is in nearly perfect condition. I have always wanted an LS1 that was black on black, with a 6 spd. I have everything I need to put a 6 spd in my car, but am trying to decide if I just want to sell everything including the car and just pick up a low miles LS car. What do you guys think. Is it worth it or should I just keep mine and fix it up. I have never owned an LS car, and have only driven a few but they were all auto cars, so there wasn't much difference in performance than mine. What would you guys do?

I would tell you to get what makes you happy, which would seem to be an ls1 6 speed I was going to do the same, but im to far into mine to just give up. Do it now while your still ahead.

If you wanna upgrade to the ls1 I say go for it do what makes u happy ! If can keep the lt1 and use it as a daily driver or drag car, but personally I wouldn't get rid of mine cause I have 2 many years and dollars invested and its my baby. Ls1/Lt1 in my garage would be sweeettt !

yeah i say do whatever you wanna do to be happy. I tried sellin mine a few months back but nobody wanted to pay 3500 for it. So now i decided to just keep it and throw a bunch of money in it and enjoy. Then maybe later on in a few yrs ill get myself a vette since you can get a decent mileage one for around 20k now but who knows i love the ws6 t/a's so thats a possibility as well. Good luck on whatever you choose to do. Post pics of the ls1 if you get one.

i was in the same position you were in, but i got rear ended and i got a check from the insurance, but i decided to stick with the LT1. i love my car and also i thought about it i know how to do almost everything on my car now so its much cheaper to keep it since i do all the work to it! it makes me happy! get what makes you happy but make sure you can afford it!

Yea, it's a hard decision. I've just always wanted a triple black 6spd 02 SS. Now I have a teal A4 LT1. How much farther apart can it get. I have everything to put the 6 spd in it but is it worth the work. I have cloth and want leather. My interior is grey and I want black. It's all about weather I want to put this stuff in my car or just sell it all and get one that's already got it. I'm at a crossroads with no freaking clue what I want to..or should do.

I wouldn't expect to get much out of your car. The ls1 you want is probably gonna cost several thousand more doll-hairs. So if you have the money do it! If money is tight just stick with the lt1 and have some fun with it!

I have the money, and selling the car would just be extra to buy a nicer one. I know the LS cars are more expensive. I just wanted a 6spd and didnt' get. When I bought my car (which I paid 7k for) I had the money in my pocket and wanted a camaro, and I wanted it now! I had been looking for three years. I had a white 95 Z that was a piece and had to sell. I waited three years saving money, and when I had it...I bought the first one that I could afford. And so now this is where I am...

Get the new one, that is what it sounds like you want, it will be easier and cheaper in the long run. You have the cash already, so you can get the same thing without the blood, sweat, and frustration and be driving instead of working on it. Wish I could actually practice what I am preaching

keep in mind aftermarket parts are coming down in price for Lt1's so doing serious modding is becoming cheaper and cheaper all the time. Also by us Lt1 owners sticking with our cars and keeping em nice they are becoming more desirable. We can drive the price up slightly if we maintain em, and wait until summer to sell em (top dollar months). Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

I have an 94' formula with alot of time, money, and love invested. It's my baby. Day before thanksgiving I went and bought a 98' T/A "LS1" and I couldn't be happier. Do what you can afford and what makes you happy. By the way, the LT1 will be a project for the track.

Might as well keep it and enjoy it. It runs and drives great, gets good gas mileage with the 2.73's. It looks great, the interior is in great shape. I love that teal color...I don't see many like yours. I'd be proud to have your car.
I had to wait till I was 32 before I bought my 99 WS6. Came across the rest of my cars as time and opportunity came about. I found the 2000 Camaro for $3000 and the 1998 TransAm Convertible for $5000. Both needed work. Don't worry, You'll get your chance for a nice LS1/6Speed car one day......Hell If I can't get it first...LOL. J/K
Could be worse...when I was your age, I had a jalopy 1978 Camaro Z28 that stranded me on the side of the road quite a few times...and no air conditioning in Arkansas is just plain dumb.
See ya in a couple days bro.
