Default How BIG of a tire to Hook on the street?

How big of a tire and size should I get to hook on the street?Should I get drag radials or ET streets or Slicks?any input will be helpful all my mods are on my sig.

Well i have 275/40/17 M/T ET street radials and they dead hook on the street but that is @ 333rwhp/354rwtq i don't know how they would work w/ your HP.

get some 325/50r15s M/T RT street radials with your power and you should be good

275/40's are not going to hook as good as your car he has 505whp

I've seen people dead hook on a 245/50(60?)16 drag radial so I dunno.

M/T DR, 275/50/15 would probably be best for the street. There are a lot of factors to hooking on the streetlike temperature, smoothness/type of pavement, and psi/temp of tire. But I would give the M/T a try, it doesn't get too much better than that for a radial.

Thanks man ill keep that in mind cuz im on M/T ET street radials and those are garbage.

yeah the 275/60 would be better. The 325's would be the best but you would have to do some work to you inner finder well.

275/50 = 26 X 11.50R15
275/60 = 28 X 11.50R15 *
325/50 = 28 X 13.50R15 *

Yeah i've been looking at the 275/60 = 28 X 11.50R15 on summit. Ima get them on friday.

hopefully you have the suspension needed to hook. tires are important but the suspension is just as big of a factor.

my car puts down 452rwhp and does not hook if i get agressive on the throttle in D with my M/Ts and I have a decent suspension. wish i would have gone with the qa1 coilover setup.

Well I have QA1's all around and SFC,PHB,LCA's,and TA all adj. so hopefully i'll be able to hook with those tires.
