Default PT98 on a lsx 427

I'm looking at a used turbo with only idle time on it and was wondering what you guys think.

"has an 80mm inlet but it does have the full 98mm inducer, it has not been cut down. The inlet can be machined out to a full 98mm without any problems. The pictures show it all. It has a v-band compressor outlet and an F trim 1.00 a/r T6 turbine. This is a 1900fwhp capable turbo"

It's a PT98 turbo and I'll be running a vengeance 427 lsx with 6 bolt tfs heads in a gbody.

That will work, or just get the Garrett GT98. Same turbo...... its a straight 98mm and comp cover uses a standard inlet instead of the huge belled inlet. Easy to package.

The reason for this turbo is I can get it for 1000 less than new with only 20 minutes idle time. The precison guy I talked to on the phone briefly said I would need a 1.32 AR and the G trim wheel for a 427. I'm shooting for 1000rwhp, does this change the opinions at all?

Thanks!

1000rwhp is much easier to do with the G-trim turbine. I would suggest though for a street car, go with the 1.00A/R. Also the GT98 is available with those options.
