Run in with a fixed up SRT-8 jeep in my H/C z28

Run in with a fixed up SRT-8 jeep in my H/C z28 My car is a H/C z28 421hp and 387 tq, stock M6 gears, M6 trans.
I was crusing on the freeway and this jeep pulls up besides me, I can tell he has something done to the car and the exhaust is aftermarket, we find a open stretch of the freeway where there are no cars and line up against each other, i drop it to 3rd gear at 75-80mph, sitting at a high RPM. He gets the jump and i follow suit, through 3rd gear he's ahead with his rear bumper at my front and with me pulling. beginning of 4th gear im pulling again and we are about neck and neck, and the top of 4th gear I begin to pass him, and then we shut it down at about 120 or so. Guy was cool, i mouthed to him "fast" and he nodded back, gave him a quick thumbs up and went on my way home.
What do you guys think his car had to pull with me like that? Knowing what I have I should kill a stock one pretty easily. Im guessing he either had spray and boltons, or a big cam and boltons. He may have had a supercharger but im not sure because I didnt hear a whine, but then again my car is so loud with x pipes and bullets turned down I wouldn't be able to hear if he did have a supercharger. His car was defiantely quick though, I lined up with him again after we ran the first time and he just punched it and I watched his front suspension lift and his rear squat down quite a bit.
All in all it was a good race, I wish I could find more cars like this, but I wish i would have won by more, I guess i'll have to throw a little 50-75 shot on my engine now.

To run with you on the highway means that was a pretty nasty ride. There lauch is MEAN. Look up fastsrt8(look up mofobucs and you can find the jeep) or w/e on youtube. Thats a pretty sick jeep.

yeah I was suprised he was able to hang like that I thought I was gonna blow him out of the water.
I ran a Bolton 125 shot srt8 jeep when I was making 436/460 on 100 shot and I barely pulled him too.

Yeah that jeep was nasty!!! I got to ride in it one time with 3 other people in the car following a kenne bell cobra race gt40 evo and they didnt pull that hard on us lol. That thing was just plain sick. Nice kill though!

How do they pull high 12s stock when srt-8 chargers and 300s dont even do that? I know they have but i just dont understand how, their traps must be low as hell.
i raced a sprayed JGCSTR8 and he annihilated my TBSS. i bet it was sprayed.

I was surprised by one once, I had to get on it a little hard to pass him when he got the jump, I was definitely impressed.. I believe they come with 425HP stock.

yeah they are quick as hell...tune and intake and they are easily in the twelves...and like said there have been several in the twelves stock just like the chargers and 300's.
and he was kidding about them running "11's"

what do you run? that might help figure it out.. having said that i have driven stock & modded Jeeps and on the highway was not overly impressed, they hit hard down low, mostly due to the loose stock converter and 5spd auto (SRT knows how to build em right.) if i had to guess i would say 100 shot or so would probably yield the result you experienced, you would've heard a supercharger and if it were HC & LT's, you would NOT mistake it for just an aftermarket exhaust, those things are ridiculously LOUD once modded, obnoxiously loud.. just my $.02

Even stock the SRT8 is nothing to laugh off, especially from a dig or at the strip. You're looking at alot of drivers , not even strip experienced, getting 1.7-1.8 60fts just by flooring it form an idle. A tune and intake are good for a few tenths off stock times, which alot of guys get low 13's bone stock. For a 5000 lbs vehicle , it moves.
