Anybody have any experience with doing this? Good? Bad?

Any chromer can do this but I would strongly recommend a quality chromer. They will strip the existing finish. prepp the surfaces and apply new finish. The wheels should be ads good if not better then new. I have heard you want a minimum of three dips though.

what do you think this would run for say 4 17" wheels?

I paid 930.00 for my 19" SP500 from calchrome.com, keep in mind that I had them shipped directly from CCW so I have no idea how much shipping would cost to send yours in. Best to call and get a quote from them.

Thats not bad. I had a couple of quotes of $600 to rechrome the factory 10 spokes.
