Re: ram air hood
Suncoast Creations hoods look good and seem to fit good too. Heat extractors also available on their's along with their own sealed ram air setup. I'd check them out.

They make Firehawk ans WS6 style hoods. I dont have any experience with them. I have heard both good and bad things about them.

Re: ram air hood
Theres my SLP Ram Air HO hood. The bodyshop said it was very easy to align, and all the lines are perfectly straight which can be a problem with some other aftermarket hoods.

VFN---->
Them or ASCD (or something like that)
They are the only hoods that look like OEM pieces.
If you run a search on the other forum there is a pic of the Suncoast vs OEM. Suncoast looks kinda cheesy once you see the difference. Well at least IMO.
The difference is in the size of the nostrels and the gap between them.

Re: ram air hood
I have a sun coast creations hood. The quality is great. It only needed the usual smoothing on the outside. I had it blocked and sanded around the inside (under hood) edge so it would look nice when I pop it open. It is a little more aggressive looking than the stock ws6 hood

I have looked at a lot of photos between the two and after awhile you pick up on the differences, how ever slight, quickly.
IMO the VFN and the ASCD are the ones that look similar to OEM, though not exact.
I just ran a search and looked at several pics that people posted and thats the conclusion I came to. I am also looking for a ram air hood as well but would like something very similar to OEM with weight savings. Personaly I have decided to go with the VFN.
The Suncoast is good quality, my friend had one on his LT1 T/A and I didn't even know it was aftermarket until he told me.

VFN WS6 hood, just had it painted about a month ago at a local body shop. It took a few minor touches on my part to have it fit perfectly, but its looks pretty darn close to me for the price!
Strainge...its not letting me post the pictures! Any ideas why its not working?

sscam68: I was very very pleased with the way this hood fit. I have no way to back this and could be completely untrue, but I know all the body shop men at a local dealership and they said that SLP is the only company that has the actual GM mold for the hoods. Again, I don't know how much truth is in that.

I remember someone posting or telling me that they outsourced the WS6 and SS packages to SLP, so they would be the one with the legal licence to sell the hoods.

Re: ram air hood
Actually, the WS6 package was installed by ASC in those years. SLP converted the Firehawk and the Camaro SS, also the cheesy (I.M.O.) Firebird GT.
