New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - best CAI/LID for SS camaro

Hey guys, i was doing research before and heard the best cheap setup was an slp lid with a k and n filter and ud make about 15whp. My question though was would it be more worth it to do some type of Ram air kit instead because I have an SS and the hood takes in air? I was reading a thread someone made a custom ram air and gained like 25whp in the quarter mile from it and like .2 seconds. so my question is what would be the best intake for an SS camaro

Slp lid / k and n filter

Fast toys ram air

slp cold air package flowpak

A used SLP lid from the classified section is all you need.

I think im confused here... the fast toy ram air does that hook up underneath your car and funnel air up into your air box area, and u can run an SLP too?

yeah an ftra or ssra just drops in front of the radiator, so the lid just goes on top

so does it go like in the car or like below the car and u can visibly c it? easy to install?

ftra and any lid will be all you ever need

so can i expect to gain like 15 hp from each? with the help of a k and n filter? not dyno'd but like cruising at high speeds to get the full affect of the ram air

I have the SLP cold air that goes under the lid, they say it gives you 10 hp, combine that with a lid for a couple more, I accidentally bought two on ebay so I put one of them back on there, its at 100 right now, but i do have the best offer option if you feel that is too much. The unit is in fantastic shape.

ahh id love to buy it if u dont sell it hold on to it i'd buy it, i just just bought the car, and have my other car and right now i have no money at all i got to sell my old one first = / lol

The K and N filter is going to give no HP the topic has been beaten to death on here.. The lid will give you about 5-7 and a FTRA isn't going to give you anything while your on the dyno. I would say with the lid and the FTRA while your moving you could see 10 or so...

unless you hook up a fan like people have to simulate air blowing towards the car and see about 10 horsepower gain on the dyno
