Default Check my patern and tell me what you think?

Well I readjusted my gears about 2 months ago and it made a big differance I prob got ride of 70% - 75% of the howl I still have a little around 62 mph
I'm going to put new pinion bearings in next week and I was thinking of moving my pinion out of the mesh a couple of thousand.

Might be a tad too deep looking at the coast side IMO. I would pull .002" and recheck. Patterns are where they need to be heel to toe so backlash appears to be good.

What gears are these? OEM, AAM 2 cut or 5cut?

WHite box won't bea GM ring and pinion from Summit. IT is usually a generic gear. For the last set of patterns you posted, it is probably about as close to a good pattern as you are going to get. What is your depth shim and backlash?

when I called summit they told me that the gears are name brands but they can't gerranty what brand but they said alot are from richmond. the white box did have a number on the side..
the first pictures on top are .025 shim and backlash was .011 but that was with my old pinion bearings.
the latest pictures are .0205 pinion shim and .010 backlash but I put in new pinion bearings and I check my old bearings on a flat grannet machine shop top with venier calibers and from the contact point af the bearing to the race of the bearing, the new bearings are .0015 deeper then my old bearings so I fig that I only moved my pinion back .0035

on my ring gear is eched BL .010

The few sets of Summit "white box" gears I have seen are identical to Richmonds.

Well I finished it this morning and WOW I would say that 95% of the noise is gone.
I didn't think it would be so quiet you may hear just a slight slight sound around 52 mph but its hardy noticable, the only thing I hear now is my exhaust and road noise :-)
plus no more vibration around 85 mph, I had my drive shaft balanced and a new u joint put in....

also on the white box the # has GM75432
plus I remember when I called summit they told me they are not seconds or blems...

thats alot guys.
