I have the LS1 SS spoiler.
Mounting the wing is no problem. No mods needed unless you buy shitty aftermarket like I did. I had to do a lot of sanding to make the thing fit flush in order to make it fit right. Get a quality spoiler or a SLP piece and it goes right on.
There are issues to work out with the third brake light. The PCM looks for a certain amount of ohms from the two light bulbs or it throws the ABS INOP dash light. So you have to trick the PCM into thinking the light bulbs are still there. You can do this with resistors or tuck the old 3rd brake light housing (with bulbs) into a body panel and parallel the LED fixture from there. Light bulbs and LEDs just work differently so you gotta get around it.
I put on 97+ taillights on mine so the addition of the extra two bulbs fixed the problem. You could also

be warned, if you put it on w/out the third brake light working your abs light will appear and it's not just a light, your abs is actually disabled and you will slide/skid on hard braking.

I don't know if it's because I have a 95? but all I did was cut the connector off the old spoiler and spliced it to the new LED third. No issues or lights, cruise also works like factory even with the M6 conversion(made everything work like factory). It's a Wings west LS1 spoiler when they still offered it like 3 yrs ago. Fit was ok but where the 2 supports attach to the hatch.

I drove with the third brake light un hooked for quite a while after my Wifes 97 got painted and never had an ABS light/codes or any problem stopping.
When we swapped to the ls1 SS spoiler, all I did was splice the old spoilers connector to the new one.
