Default New H/C Set Up

Running a set of Dart Pro-1 LT1 200cc Heads, Comp CC306, SVO 30# Injectors, Comp Double roller timing chain. I'm talking to Lloyd about having him clean the Darts up some. Reason for going with the CC306 is, since the cars a 93, I'll be running a mail order tune since I dont have chip burning stuff, wanted to stick with some thing most tuners have seen. I still think it's a decent cam and can make great power in the right set up. I'll datalog the car when it's all done with an Innovative wide band as well as TTS Data Masters to try and get the tune nailed. Staying with a GM 93 LT1 intake manifold and AS&M TB, the intake Manifold is actually one that was ported by MTI in the 90s. I already have a set of Hooker LTs, Vigi 3200 and 3.73s. Not looking to smash any records, just have some thing fun that runs well and drives well.

I love my 306 and on the mail order tune she drives pretty damn well.

I think daniel ran an 11.9 cam only with the 306.

Cant wait to see it with the Darts

Neil,

You should go custom though, the 306 is weak sauce now. And you have the resources in TX to make it work.

Should make for a pretty solid setup. Definetly have Lloyd clean those Dart's up to really squeeze what you can from them.

CC306 isn't a bad cam, drives nice, makes good power, sounds mean. It's still my favorite LT1 big cam. Plus a lot of cars have made great power with it.

I'll let you know when we tear in to it if you want to stop by. So far it's Jon, myself, Ovidu and Joe.

That sounds like a fun setup. Are you going to do anything to the short block?

I'm hoping the short block holds, thats my only plan, it has 72K miles on it, if it doesn't, oh well, time to rebuild. I'm also potentially looking to pick up a set of ported LT1 instead of the Darts if the situation works out, so that would change some thing but that will also save me some coin, I could put towards a new trans when the time comes.

Nik1703,

No clue boss, modified car it's a **** shot. May hold, may let go. If the short block holds I'll spray it. I have a kit on the car, just need to try and get the ignition box working.

West Side Machine here in Houston, I'm leaning more and more towards pulling the Dart trigger. I really want to take the car to the LTXshootout come May, so ideally I would like to have it done in Febuary. That gives me some time to fix what ever issues, shake the set up down and be ready by May. Which seems like a lot of time, but I work off shore so I'm gone two weeks at a time.
