Concrete has not dropped in price yet compared to many other finished goods. I checked last week, and it was spot price of ~100/yd. I can get it at $71/yd. I expect in the next 2 months or so the price is going to drop significantly. Price for finished concrete would probably be around $6-$7/sq ft based on current prices.

My buddy needs to put in a concrete floor to replace the dirt in his garage. Probably 30x50 ft. What would it cost to do the job? Would it depend on you doing all the prep-work? Like putting down the steel rebarb? I've never done this, but it doesn't seem terribly difficult.

Just to be clear, I do not finish concrete. I have some project I am working on which needed concrete. So, I had been checking prices. PMCSpider sent me a PM about what he needed, and I gave him the info that I could.
Right now, concrete is still high in price. I would say that if you don't need it right now that you probably might want to wait until the cost comes down a bit more.
Lumber is at a 35 year low right now, steel is down 40% from last year. Concrete is still sky high. Depending on who is doing the work I have seen deltas of around $1.00 sq ft on finsihed concrete.
So, raw concrete is around $100 per yard. Finished concrete which includes the forms, steel and finishing is about $6 - $7.50 per sq ft right now depending on who you talk to.
So, to do the garage floor you are talking about would be about 1500sq ft = 9000 (6.00) to $11,250 (7.50 sq ft). So,

That was the "spot" price when you call up and don't have an account, etc... I can get it for $71/yard all day. but, the "quoted" price two weeks ago was right at $100/yd.
