Why would you waste your time with only $100(20 shares)? One thing you have to have like $500 in the etrade account. Thats probably why its not letting you.

its not letting me because the shares are under 10$ and i need to wait 7 days in order to do so. why spend 100$ ? at 4$ a share lets say they goto 10$ a share after the bailout plan. i will have 250$ in stock. I would then have 250 instead of 100$ in my pocket.

Better read all the fine print on what you just signed up for. I've heard from a few people that etrade starts taking money out of your portfolio if you don't trade often enough. Here is one article about it: http://consumerist.com/5057127/etrade-sells-your-stock-to-pay-inactivity-fee

Just thought I would throw that out there.

It won't let you because with as low as GM stock is $100 would buy almost all of it. !:punch:j/k.

It will probably become delisted and become a penny stock sometime soon.

with that mentality, not trying to be rude, but your better off putting your money elsewhere to make a buck.
if it was that easy then everyone would do it right?
