Default silly question about tires

I have Fuzion ZRi 275/40R17 on my car now. When I spin the tires they make no noise and do not leave any black marks, I know the tires are spinning. I just feel like if i'm going to waste my money burn rubber I want to hear it and see some black marks.

What tires you have and do they make any noise or leave black marks?

Never had any trouble painting the street and announcing my departure with my BFG's. Is that good?

If the tires are spinning fast, they arn't going to make any noise. I dont know what to tell you about black marks though. I think its the smoke that makes a burnout, not black marks or tire noise.

Some tires make noise, some don't.

Some tires leave black marks some don't.

It's typically the rubber compound . . .

As stated, a lot of depends on the tire compound and even design. With my old 89 Formula 350, I would peel out a good 30 ft on a first gear romp. When I would turn around and go back down the street to check out my handy work, it left two dark black streaks behind. I would cruise over those and turn around again to head back the way I started after the peel out, and they would nearly be invisible. Just the faintest line of a peelout. Weird.

My old Nitto NT450's screamed like a 12 year old prostitute, and left some solid marks.

Terrible tires - great fun though.
