Default LS3 swap

Okay, I'm kind of interested in swapping out my LS1 for say the LS3 376/480 block in the future and would like to know what other parts I'd need to get with it? What can be re-used from the LS1 and would I need to get a different set of headers? Thanks.

You can use the same LT Headers, you will need some extras for the Wiring Harness, and possibly a new PCM or an adapter for the Crank Reluctor Wheel.

Search around too, there have been quite a few threads on this lately..

If you build the motor you can have a 24 tooth reluctor wheel and not have to change computers. And then sdpc sells everything you need to swap the motor over. the part number is ls2ck-2 and its $333. then every thing will swap over. Im doing a stroked 427 ls3 into my 2000 corvette right now. Any thing else you wana know send me a pm.

yah, i saw that yesterday, looks like its well worth the value vs. having to swap computers or changing out the relucter wheels.

It certainly makes things easier for guys with older cars that want to update their motors to theLS2 / LS3 option without a hassle.
