3600 is the flash stall. Meaning that if you were to let the car idle and then stomp on the pedal it would flash up to 3600 and then go. The brake stall is usually much lower than the flash stall. Your brakes can only hold so much before the power applied to the wheels overcomes them. I have a 2800 and can only hold the brakes to about 1900. So I wouldn't worry. You just have to play around with the rpm's to find the best launch.

Unless you are spraying or running a S/C, you are going to have a hard time flash stalling that converter to 3600. It is pretty tight on a N/A car.

yea you need more power to get that convertor to flash a total of 3600, and also no way to get it to launch to 3600 unless you have a trans brake. footstall is much different. put some nitrous or a poweradder and it will run better :) that is the reason you bought that pricy convertor right?

That 2.7 STR might be a factor in your excessive wheelspin :burn: problem as well...you might need some ET Streets or at least some BFG DRs.

flash stall versus break stall. way different. it has been discussed many times on this forum. you will never see 3600 unles you have a tranny break. your convertor will "slip" or flash to 3600 once you get to WOT and hammer it, it will slip the tranny to 3600, it wont stay put till 3600 rpms. no convertor will. in all honesty i doubt very much you need to launch over 2500 rpms at all withyour kind of power. in fact, probably stabing it off idle and allowing the convertor to slip to 3600 and then take off is gonna net you a better 60' time assuming your tires can take it. and i have never seen nittos take 600 rwhp
