Muschamp to Auburn??
My bro just called me and said he heard on ESPN radio that Auburn was expected to announce Muschamp as their new coach sometime today. I thought we had him locked down? Anyone hear anything about this?

He said he wasn't ready for a head coaching job and lets hope he still feels that way.

I have not heard the later.
Muschamp hasn't signed the extension with texas...and won't until after the bowl game.

Unfortunately, I am completely out of the loop on this one so I guess we'll all have to just wait and see what is announced later today.
1. Will Muschamp will not the be the next coach at Auburn: I just got off the phone with Will Muschamp, the defensive coordinator and head coach in waiting at Texas. He emphatically shot down television reports in Mobile that he would be the named the next coach at Auburn today.
“I have not talked to Auburn about this job and I have no interest in the job,” said Muschamp. “I really don’t know what else to say. I’m going to stay at Texas until they fire me.”
My sources tell me that some Board of Trustee members did pick up the phone and call Muschamp to find out if he was interested. But those sources also tell me that when Muschamp was at Auburn as DC, he and athletics director Jay Jacobs did not part on the best of terms.

Just a couple thoughts of consideration on this....
Saban is his mentor, don't get your hopes up that he's(muschamp) staying around, he hasn't signed the extension. And look how Saban left for greener pastures...
We'll see....

2009 looks to be the Horns best shot to win another NC since 2005. UT actually exceeded expectations with the year the Horns had this year. I look for a very strong showing in the Fiesta Bowl.

x2. This year was kind of a suprise. Everyone had Texas doing major damage in the 2009 season. Two NC in a row would have been sweet though. Let's just hope the cards play out right for next year.

Saban + integrity = Muschamp
He's not going anywhere.
