Here it is...and I'm a girl. Future Mods: MS4 Cam, Full bolt-ons, Speed Density tune, Fully built 4L60E, 3600 Yank, Small Suspension stuff (PHB, SFCs, LCAs, Relos), Mecham Hood, Iforged Aeros. Should all be installed in a couple weeks. 427 may go in in a couple months.

That is sick looking..

FIIIIINAALLYY!! A truely a murdered out 4th gen. Very nice canvas to work with. The hood and wheels you're planning on going with will make this thing look refined and finished for sure. Motor mods are very appropriate for the look! Awesome ride.

I was going to do this when my SOM needed new paint but got negative feedback on the idea so had just had the SOM repainted same color but upon seeing this I kinda wish I had of tried murdered out. But my feedback could only be based on what myself and others could THINK it would look like since no 98-02 firebirds or TA's had been done.

Is that a chrome tip sticking out down there? I don't think that belongs. The car looks awesome, but one chrome piece doesn't make a lot of sense with the rest of the look. I would think paint those too, or at least match them to the wheels, if you are keeping them gloss. Or add something else chrome. Either way good job with the rest.

Looks like it's waiting to be painted the final color. :) I'm with one of the other posters, this style looks way better on older cars. Kudo's for trying something different though. okay sweeeet car and i am rather bias on the formulas but HOW MUCH did that cost to do? can you still wash it with regular meguires and can you wax it? do you have to wax it? and you should definately check out the TTM athracite wheels!!!!

Black FormulaLs1: It would cost bout 2k or so through my guy. I still wash it with Meguires and wax it. Dont have to but it makes a big difference. The maintenance is fairly easy.

Car looks great! I've got a question about the SEM's matte black for ya. I also had a roadmaster wagon once matte black, but it was black base with Dupont's flat clear. My luck, I had a tree limb scuff it and couldn't buff it because it would gloss up the clear, ended up having to reclear that panel. Are you able to buff a scuff/light scratch from your single stage without the gloss effect?

No, unfortunately it has to be repainted. Any buffing or polishing will give it the gloss effect.

yeah thats what i heard people do. some guys on my local forum were arguing that it wasn't very safe. they look sweet though!!

Yeah it is possible to screw it up. And when it is screwed up, you'll know. It won't balance and it'll make noise while moving. As long as it's done equally to all lug holes to where it won't rotate on lugs, and it balances, it'll function just fine.

looks great, however i am partial to satin black and have painted several bikes and cars with it. you nailed the sinister look, check this one out i did bout 5 years ago, its at the other end of the spectrum more old school with pinstripes and whitewalls , 9.50 car!!!!

Jen's car influenced me to do the GTM in Matte Dark grey with some gloss on specific parts. The prototype was done like that and it looked so awesome. Her car just made me finalize my decision. It looks so awesome.

some cars look good in satin, no doubt. its just too played out imho. there are soooo many cool colors to paint a car or a bike with; plain black or satin just calls for a lack of imagination and closed mindedness.

With the Mecham Hood it's going to look like Batman's F-Body. I have that hood and that's what people say when they see my Formula, but mine is gloss black. Your's will pull it off a lot better. Nice work :thumb:.

Just a little update since this thread refuses to die (I love this btw.) Looking online for slicks and skinnies (black wheels) setup for this car. Mecham hood is also on order next week when jen comes back from the field. After that, pics, vids and maybe track times. Who knows what this girl wants!

Looks like the drag set up is going on first. And it looks like black powder coated Prostars are of choice right now. I guess the black Iforged wheels will be the street set up, which will come later. It would look REDICULOUSLY AWESOME either way. You have my support Jen!

Screw that! That car has some kick ass mods and a totally out of the ordinary paint scheme. I think it holds it'self on it's own. It's very bold in every aspect. This all was very delibrately built to the customer's spec. The fact that it has a really cool female owner is irrelevant.

I think it would look better with a more aggressive looking hood.

I'm in the middle of rebuilding my birdie right now. She's at the frame shop. I've been planning this out for a year now, it will look very similar to yours. Satin black w/ a gloss black two tone top, and a monochromatic firebird airbrushed into the hood. I'm going Mecham. I think it's a wise choice. gives it that mad-max look.

That would take alot of guts to actually go through with that paint job but you know what it turned out great i like it! As stated before a set of y2k wheels to match would look smokin on there.

That's the sickest hood if you ask me. I have a WS-9 outlaw and i wish i would have chosen the Superhawk.

I've been painting a couple of things with that SEM hotrod black and i must say its pretty cool stuff. It has its little tricks, like throwing a light dust on the last coat to make it look the flattest. It also takes forever to dry. :D

Right now, superhawk hood is being located and wheels/tires are being decided on. The car is getting a leather wrapped interior (dash included) as well. As the build goes on JLee will be updating...I HOPE!

Join the club bro. Roger at US Exotics used to make them but I haven't seen one pop up in a long while. Word is he's doing viper stuff now. And since he gets $12k+ per hood, I can see why he stopped putting his efforts in the fbody stuff.
There is a guy on ebay that's selling knockoffs for like $300 or some shit. I have heard an awful lot of bad things about fitment and quality though.

There is a guy on ebay that's selling knockoffs for like $300 or some shit. I have heard an awful lot of bad things about fitment and quality though.

It has been some time since i have been here, but thanks to all of you for your compliments on the car. She is a continuous work of art, just got her a little upgrade Koni4/4s, FTRA, Fast Toy's 85mm Lid, and a top of the line nav/audio system. Trying to look at other options for the tails lights, possible TA spoiler, the impossible superhawk hood, and wheels.

Hellz yeah man. The best $1,000 I ever spent was on koni 4/4 shocks. You'll fall in love with your car all over again! It'll drive a lot like SRT around town, solid and refined. Then it'll handle ridiculously better than it does now, and in an effortless kinda way. It's awesome.

Yeah, I'm stationed at the Naval Base. I'm about to go underway(2 underways almost back to back actually), but I'll get back to you when we pull back in. I've only found one shop that looks like it does good work on LS1's and a few poeple really into cars. For how nice the weather is, I was really surprised at the lack of muscle out here. Of course, the traffic is total shit for the most part, so that may have something to do with it.

I hate the traffic, but fortunately have only a short ride to work and dont go very far in my off time. Enjoy the underway (if thats possible) :) Talk with you when you get back.

I think that some Monaro VXR wheels would look pretty sweet on it. I know you've got some iForged coming, so that'd probably look better...but these wheels would be even more unique over here I think.

That's where all the f-bodies (and a few of us GTO owners) hang out on the island. Lots of info on LSX motors, meets, etc. There's actually a lot of gear heads here, you just have to know where to look. That forum is a good start. paradisecruisers.com is another one, but it's more old school guys.

BTW, I dig the car too. I was just trying to convince my buddy to do the same thing to his Camaros SS, but he wasn't up for it :s

I used the spray wax in the bottle , says wax as dry somthing like that works really good .
