2002 Z06 had a curb weight of 3118 lbs. Your 01 weighs in at a slender 3115 lbs.

Hows that compare to just a c5?

I think the Z06 is only 40-50 lbs lighter than the normal C5.

My Z06 weighed 3080 with alil over a 1/4 tank of fuel.... Completely stock.
Most Targa C5s are in the 3200lb range, give or take alil.... From what Ive seen. Convertibles are alil more as well.

Per GM curb weights for 2002:
Coupe: 3246
Vert: 3248
Z06: 3118
I was surprised to see them the vert and coupe so close.
For comparison here are the 2008 curb weights:
Coupe: 3217
Vert: 3246
Z06: 3162
The z06 is getting a bit porky. ;)

That is a big part, plus the Z has a thinner windshield and a few other little things.

Don't forget titanium exhaust saves a few pounds.

Don't we also lack some sound deadening insulation? I'm sure it's just a few pounds there. Mine weighed in at 3040 with about 1/8th tank of gas.

Weight differences is due to the following
Exhaust, Rear Windshield, lack of sound proofing, non-runflat tires, lighter rims, lighter roof panel.

I would assume auto to manual would cause some difference as well.

3160 in my 2001 Z06 with a full tank of gas. I put all the gas I could into it and rolled 2 blocks onto the scales at the airport.

Why would you do that? Military DITY move? I did the same thing although no blocks. Loaded up the car with everything I wanted to put in it for the move while it sat on the trailer plus a full tank of gas...think I came up with around 3500 lbs.

Nope, no moving. I had a friend who worked air cargo at the airport. I was down there dropping off some jambalay dinners from a charity meal sale we did, and figured I would like to know. I also know they calibrate the scales everyday, and they are use to weighing containers about 2000 to 6000 lbs. So I figured it has to be the most accurate reading I could get.

I didn't know those, because I actually bought a coupe and converted it into a FRC. My bro owns a Z06, but does not have the "HUD" option since it was a 2001.

I weighed mine the other day, with black motorsport wheels (40-50 lbs heavier than stock I believe) and a partition with mods in sig mine weighed 3100 even with a 1/4 tank of gas.

Weighed mine in at 3100 with a little over half tank of gas. Rolls on c6z rims, Has headers, x pipe ghl catback, Lighter pulley. Pretty light car, figure it's close to 3050 with no gas?
The trans am weighted 3600..
