10 bolt buildup?
I built up my motor with a new cam, intake, LTs, a tune and a few other trick parts. Im hoping to be at around 370 hp to the wheels. Ive already decided on a TH350 soon, so all thats left is to deal with the rearend. I wanted to pick up a 9" from a junkyard and build it up but Im already putting 3.73s in the 10 bolt and was wondering if theres anythinng else to do to a 10 bolt to make it hold up to the 370rwhp and a set of slicks. I was thinking the brand new gears, some new fluids and gaskets, and 35 spline axles w/ c clip eliminators, if needed, i dont really understand rearends too much. Would the higher spline axles, fluids/gaskets, and gears make my rearend strong enough to hold the hp and slicks?

Not worth is bro, id say it could survive with that setup but slicks will destroy it in a very short amount of time. Gears wont make it stronger either... unfortunately the only way to go is to upgrade to a 9 inch, 12 bolt, or even s60. Be careful with a junkyard 9 inch though, its gonna take alot of fabricating to get it to fit on an fbody. Dont put any money into the 10 bolt, just save up for a new rear imo.

Makes sence. Thanks for the help. Im just trying to get the car together. I spent so much money trying to make an LT4 powerful, Im sure I could have thrown in a 12 bolt, th350, and a used ls1 with a nice cam in it for around the same price...O well, hindsights 20/20.....
