Can you fit something besides the 4" speaker in the hatch of a camaro
I'm changing all parts of my stereo except for my headunit. I bought a set of Digital Designs DDC6.5 comps for the front doors and was planning on putting a second set in the sail panels behind the seats and not even using the 4" speakers in the hatch. My question is can you fit another size speaker in the hatch area like a 5x7 or 6x9?

hatch speakers
I have 6.5s in mine along with tweeters from a TA... It requires some minor trimming of the underside of the panel, but it sounds great when its done!!!!!! It looks stock until you remove the panel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They look like coaxial speakers , but they're component speakers I'm talking separate x-overs just like most component sets have some thing like this:

Focal, Image Dynamics, and Jl audio also has some like that.

Don't waste your time unless you're mounting 6x9's back there and low passing them at 150Hz.
And I'd pass on the components in the sail panels as well. The fewer tweeters behind the listener, the better. Soundstaging should be your priority when designing your system. Tweeter placement is key.
