Is anybody using a 4.250 stroke? I am building a motor and was thinking abouta 4.250 stroke. My question is what about side loading on the cylinder and the rod comes around? HAs anybody used this crank yet? Yea or nay? THanks guys, ANdy

Re: Is anybody using a 4.250 stroke? Try popular hot rod mag online. They recently did an article on this same stroke I believe. I would reference that and make some calls, b/c I do not think too many people here have done that radical of stroke yet.

Re: Is anybody using a 4.250 stroke? Lunati told me they are not making that size crank anymore. 4.125" is the biggest they make now supposedly.

Re: Is anybody using a 4.250 stroke? I think blk~2000~z28 is referring to the article done in Hot Rod about the 450+ ci LS motor. The stroke there is 4.155, by Hank the Crank. I don't know if 4.250 is doable with the reluctor wheel, as the 4.155 stroke required trimming the skirt on the #8 piston to clear the reluctor. In fact, it was cut up into the oil rings.
