Default 12 bolt install I am stuck!

I am putting in the axles on my Moser 12 bolt. There is a seal right before the bearing. It gets hung up in the hole for the axle. I think it should do in the whole way. Should the backing plates be flush with the flange on the 12 bolt housing? Thanks in advance

Do you have the 33-spline axles with the Ford 9" axle seals installed in the housing? If so, this is normal, push the axles in and thread in the 4 blacking plate bolts. Tighten them up the same amount, little by little until all 4 are snug, this will pull the axle all the way into the housing and will become flush.

Mine stuck out just a hair. I measured and they were fully seated but still hung out. I just tightened them up and so far so good.
