depends on what kind of cobra your dealing with
if your wantin to go after pullied cobra's (with bolt ons of course) then your definitely gonna need at lest 430+ rear wheel horsepower. considering most pullied cobras make 440 at the least. so as far as that specific cam being big enough- i can't help you...but like i said your gonna wanna make 430+

Might be, might not. Oh, just for further reference (not trying to be a dick in anyway), we have a sub forum over in the racer's lounge for bench racing and whatnot.
I would say, stock, of course it is enough. Pullied like bigjeep said...I would do heads for insurance, spray for more insurance, all of it, plus gears, and yea. Some pullied cobras have trapped 121 or so...that is like cam+ 100 shot ranges generally. A good, heathy H/C car could pull that off though. Just run and find out.

You do have the weight advantage, so depending on the mods you may or you may not. Keep in mind there aren't too many stock Cobras anymore, and a twin screw will put most of us above 600 rwhp.

just spray that T/A of your's you can probably spray 150 with bolt ons and be fine. but if you spray with that cam you win as long as you have traction but if that cobra has a decent mod list it may blow your doors off unless you plan on doing some more mods yourself

Get a set of heads from Texas Speed and call it a day. If the cobra is at 440 rwhp then you definetely do not need 430 rwhp in the f-body. But a healthy cam and heads setup should definetely be around that number. Just do them for insurance. I dont see you having a problem against the cobra.

"cory" and his brother raced (cobra had 15 more to the wheels) and they were locked up.
so if a cobra has 440...then he could very well need 430 to win.

The Cobra he is running only mod is a catback. That cam will be more than enough to beat a catback only Cobra. He is asking this in other sections as well thats why I knew the cobra's only mod was a catback.

Yes we were very close....but 100 shot on a full bolt on LS-1 is way diff. than cammed LS-1 and we have proved that....the hit of nitrous and the tq. will usually yank on a cammed car. BTW- I spun real bad from the 25 roll or it might have been diff. but from a 50 roll I was stuck beside him..I have no shame in it... his car runs hard from a roll, I have seen him run door to door with cars that trap 124!!!
