i just replaced a thorq arm on a 98 trans am for a friend of mine his broke at the axle housing. before it rode like a wagon and ot cut the bolt heads and flangs for the u joints but not bad but the owner wants to replace it, before putting the car down off the lift i looked around the suspension and didn`t see any other issues. but it still ride like a wagon i feel the spring my have been damaged but unsure i will be putting it on the lift again on thurs. but looking for any ideas of what to look for other than the springs.:bang:

Way too vague.
Does he have any other aftermarket suspension? Bushings? Wheels/tires? What are the tire pressures set at?
If all else is is good working order I have my money on shocks.

the suspension is totaly stock with stock wheels and tire size the shocks were replaced about a year ago he said but i see what your are saying if the axle rotated enuff it could have bent the shock tube binding up the movement.thanks i`ll let you know

He didn't hurt the springs, but breaking TA's does often break shocks. It's not good when a shock is connected to the axle and body and when the TA breaks the axle rotates, but the shock can't rotate as far. Things bend like shock shafts.....
