Default What size injectors to go with

I have a 97 formula 6spd with the following mods, 846 Gm cam .543in .563ex
and supporting valve train, all bolt ons except EWP, and pulleys, my headers are midtubes, I'm running stock heads, and have a borlamouth xr1 exhaust.

I haven't tuned the car yet, but I am still making decent power. My question is are 26lb/hr injectors a good improvement? I found a nice low mile set for cheap bucks and I'm wondering if that will give me a decent gain.

Keeping in mind I will be driving this car basically everyday in the summer, and would like to retain decent mileage. Is 26 too small, should I wait and find something bigger? what recommendations would you guys make?

Thanks

-D

SVO 30#'s as they actually rate around 32-33 on our higher PSI fuel systems. If you are going FI or spraying go with 37 or 42. Do a search there are tons of threads on this same topic and good luck.

considering stock injectors are 24.9lb IIRC.. wouldn't waste my time with 26lb jobs...

I've got ford 30lb/hr injectors in my car, and they are, at most using a 78% DC at peak. and I still average close to 25mpg on the highway, so gas mileage with a tune for them, is no concern.

Exactly, its like going from a 3.42 rear gear to a 3.55..Also beware of used injectors, I have had tuning nightmares due to injectors that were sitting in someones garage that were all varnished up...

You should be ok with the stockers atleast I was with a similar setup (cc503 and stock heads). I would suggest that if you do get new injectors to get some SVO 30's (red tops) and they will definetly be sufficient.

Phire, you've been here how long, read how many "what size injector" threads and know all about the Search but STILL felt the need to ask!? Yikes...

Might as well just get 36/38# to leave room for when the Speed Bug bites again.
