Default carb style intake.

Anyone running a carb style intake on their LS1 orLQ9 with and elbow? I know there are some low profile versions of it. I am just curious as the height of the intake and the elbow installed and how much higher it is compared the stock LS1 intake. Thanks guys.

I run a vic jr and std elbow...it sits above the cowl and you need a taller hood

Vic Jr on my 402 with the Intake Elbows elbow. No cowl mod on a C5, but a high rise hood is required.

Here's a couple pics of my car with a carbstyle intake and Edelbrock intake elbow. Looks as if it should clear a stock hood just fine. No cutting of cowl needed so far...
Big thanks to Mike and Steve up at ICON who are doing the work on my
408 F1a build.

I ordered the edelbrock elbow since it is supposed to fit without modifications to the hood or cowl.

What intake is that?

Would there be an advantage switching from a 90mm FAST to a carb style?

Quick Reply: carb style intake.
