My Solution to the Methanol Tank Cap. Yay or Nay
My brother has a trophy and awards business so I had him make me a few of these in different colors. I think I like this one the best. They are made out of plastic that is normally used for name badges. It's actually laser cut. What do ya think?

ya, I know. There's raised lettering and a washer picture on the cap. Since this goes over that, there's an air gap anyway. I could put a hole in it too.. maybe under the word "Methanol". Thanks

I can make almost any color. I think it's red over black, but I'd have to check.
I can also put any graphics I want on there. It's laser engraved from TIFF files.

well if you have meth then you probably have some other stuff too. you should see the cops when they open up your hood. all they do is look for shiny and painted parts and start saying that Oh it's not factory and ****. i had that problem with my GTP. i had a nice polished blower on there and when i got pulled over the cop started to hassle me and ask me about my other stuff, like the smaller supercharger pulley.. having a polished supercharger housing is not elegal aether but it attracts attention. if i just painted the supercharger black i would be on my way home allot sooner. i like having a nice shiny and clean engine bay, but just don't want any attention from the police if i ever get pulled over again for racing. and another thing is when i bought my 02 z28 and got it insured, the insurance company wanted to inspect the car, and they sure did that, taking allot of pictures of my engine bay and the rest of the car. good thing the car was stock.

yes they do. I believe the comments were because they thought I closed it off. The cap sits above it and there's still plenty of breathing.
I have a couple extras if anyone wants one. I made a couple different colors. $15 shipped. You glue it on to your cap... just don't cover the cap hole with glue. PM me if interested.

But what I meant was that not only does the OEM cap have a hole but also elsewhere on the actual tanks, two of them... So that even if you closed off the one on the cap, the tank can still breathe.
At least on F-body's.
