Default bottom end

if i do a top end build will my bottom end holed up. im going with a 540 lift cam hyrdo roller lifts 1.6 roller rockers. keeping stock heads. they flowed 205 at .55 lift and 173 at .55 lift they were good enough. may port and polish. running stock intake with 58mm throttle body and bigger injectors if needed. can anyone help. Thanks

IT should be fine as ong as it has a good life of oil changes and good care. Just dont go above 6400 RPM for any extended period of time and it should not have any issues.

Stating just cam lift rather than meaningful details was how it was done 40 years ago.

You seem to think "stock heads" are a lowend option even ported, well for most applications ported stock heads are the best choice.

"stock intake" again works quite well even without porting, the only readily available aftermarket alternative is from Edelbrock and proven to LOSE power.

I would say settle down and get a better handle on what this engine likes and needs before you spend any more money.

Do you have the supporting mods? Headers, stall, gears, CAI and are you prepared to have the pcm reprogrammed? If you answered no then it is not time for a cam, well obviously if the car is M6 you wont have a stall but if it is A4 you need a stall.

Trust me, I did a mild cam before I had all the supporting stuff, car drove fine but was no faster.

i have long tube headers th400 with a brake and reverse valve body and i have a fast system that im tune it with and im going to put in a 9 in. with 4:11 gears havent figured out stall to run yet do u have any sugestens on what brands are better for the lt1s that i should run.Thanks
