This seems odd (gxp's only)
Ok this didn't seem right to me but maybe its just the way these car are. I noticed today that while i'm in 4th gear (manual mode) and floor it the rpms will slowly drop and the car will still accelerate. Has anyone else noticed this? My thoughts are that the computer is taking over and maybe the car is trying to drop rpms to get into 3rd gear but ive only tried this for a second. It only does this past 60 mph also.

Ya 60ish, it happened earlier and i was like hmm dont the needles usually go the same direction when floored? It is just odd how the car does it, it will slow from around 3k'ish or so rpm to drop into a lower gear.

It's the torque converter locking up.
I've screwed around a bit with the torque converter clutch settings, and you can loosen it up enough that this doesn't happen, terrible fuel economy though, and the tranny runs hotter due to increased slippage.
Currently have the Torque Converter Clutch set to a higher duty cycle to decrease slippage, but it makes the cycling in and out of DOD harsher.
