Im going to buy a new digi camera here in the next week or so

Heres what i want.

A solid piece that is reliable and can take awesome clear pictures. As well as something that takes awesome video. I need something with all the usual features and any extras wouldnt hurt either. NIGHT VISABILITY is a must as well as i do a lot of night videos racing wise and other things

Price limit is anything $800 and under!

If you can post your camera and a pic or video to show how good it actually is!

Thanks guys its greatly appreciated, last camera i bought sucked.

I don't know a lot about video camera's, or small digi-cams that take video. The Nikon D90 and some newer Canon's offer video on their DSLR still camera's, but they are out of your price range.

I have a stinky (in comparison) little Nikon Coolpix L5 (older camera) that I carry just to record video. It's not horrible and was dirt cheap. Here's a few vids from it:

Make sure to click "Watch in High Quality" under the video.

He wants video though, not a DSLR.

The closest thing in that price range, taking great photos & HD video is the Nikon D90. It's still above his $800 price limit, though.

Canon 5D MKII. Best of both worlds. :D

for video i would strongly suggest the Cannon HV30 or HV20 it is AWESOME for the price range. films HD and does it in a format that is VERY easy to edit and doesn't demand a HUGE processor to do it either. if you're looking for a place to buy stuff i would recommend looking into a site that can be found if you type in the letter "b" and then "h" and maybe "photovideo" in google...

I'd look into the Nikon D60

Also three times his budget for just the body.

I have a Sony alpha 300K WITH a telephoto lens for $600 at best buy. Best DSLR out there for the price/quality.
