Default What is the size of the bolt that connects the brake bracket to the spindle?

I've read of a few other people who this bolt just fell off on the high way and i took my other bolt to a few places and tried to match it up but no luck. Does anyone know the actual size of the bolt needed? Thanks in advance!

You can get the bolt from a dealer. (They have the exact thing and its not expensive.) Like 76LS1BIRD pointed out, you need a high grade bolt. (Denoted by the stampings on the head.) If you don't get the right thing, you could easily shear the thing in half.

ya i ended up getting a M12x1.75x35mm and it works well, in a grade 8 hardened steel. 35 cents from ace hardware.
