General LSX Automobile Discussion - how to repair a aftermarket intake lid???
how do you guys repair a aftermarket intake lid("ls1 motorsports")?
it seems like nothing sticks to it, other than tape
does anyone know what these lids are made of?
would i have to somehow fiberglass over the cracks to fix the lid???
thanks

There is a product called plastic welder that will surely do it. Buy a good epoxy resin and that'll work. Check out the hardware store adhesive section. Paint it when your done and the adhesive cures!

Give JB Weld a try, that should do it!
Just where gloves when you do it, or you will have discolored hands for a week.

I like using fiberglass, to me it is a lot easier to use then anything else.

did you use sandpaper on the cracks to give it something to hold to. you might need to do that if you didn't.

You can pick a used one up for about $60 or $70 in the for sale section.
