A new OEM factory opti will suite you just fine. "Thepartsladi" would be a good place to look

Agreed the genuine stock unit seems to be the best. Always have had great luck with them and heard not so great stories of the MSD, Accel, and others.

Dont jinx yourself Elliott! Haven't heard bad stories from all of the MSD's just enough to make me not recommend them but once yours goes I will be satisfied.

Read my post: No spark! Ideas? I think the MSD is a great looking product I like the construction it screams quality, but right now I believe it may be my problem ( not saying it is for sure....yet) and it is only a week old. It ran great with it installed. You may want to wait for me to talk with MSD and see how they handle this and if it really is the problem. If it is and they take care of me with out hassle in a timely fashion and I just ended up with a fluke it may be worth it. I will give one more ( still under warranty) a try and if that doesn't fix it...back to a stocker. Mine is also on a 96' motor.
