on the NON-honeycombed lights.. there is a red insert that you can just take out. if you search for LT1 LED taillights or something of the sort you should be able to find out more.

ive never done it myself, but from pics it looks like it is just placed inside with minimal adhesive
so you should be able to break the adhesive hold some how
i would worry more about taking it apart, removing the red should be easy

well i just finished doing it. Easy!! i will post pics in a while, but my friend told me its ILLEGAL to have clear lights.............is that true???? I took of my black outs for the same reason and made them original, now I did this so It can look cool and now you can see the red...and for my friend to tell me its ILLEGAL!!!!!!!!!! wtf??!

isnt the bottom in that picture the reflector though? also, we have separate rear side markers unlike some cars so you are good there. im sure you'll pass. also, looks a lot better on those lt1s than stock.

Sorry pics dont look badass. I took it with my camera phone.
I just did the passenger to see how it was going to look. It looks awesome on the daylight, but when darkness strikes and I turn on the lights...it doesnt look that great...Not much red, more like a chrome red...
