Default cylinder head question

i just wanted to verify but would LS7 heads (06 ZO6) fit on 98-02 f-body? i thought they did but just wanted to make sure...??

Won't work....on an LS1 or LS6 motor......wish they did, sorry.

so can i ask you what set of heads could be put on and see a representable amount of power gained any LS motor heads??

Well, if your talking stock heads, the LS2 or LS6 heads will work on an LS1, and will net approx 15rwhp. The LS2 & LS6 heads are the same except the LS6 heads have lighter valves. The 5.3 heads will work, but in stock trim, the only thing you will gain is compression. If you're wanting to go aftermarket, any ported 5.3, LS1, LS2, LS6 heads from any of the sponsors will work depending on your application/goals.

Just to add.......LS7 heads combustion chamber and valves are to large for a LS1 block. On the other hand if you had a large enough bore you must use the LS7 intake manifold with LS7 heads. Quick fact: LS7 heads are 12 degrees and LS1/LS2/LS6 heads are all 15 degree valve angles.
