Default All New PRC .700" Lift Xtreme Lift Spring Kit Info!!

Guys we just received the first production of all new PRC .700" Xtreme Lift double springs! This combo is designed for people wanting more spring pressures for L92/LS7 valves, or looking for additional lift past the standard 1.291" springs .660" configuration.

This all new spring features a 1.351" OD which will not fit a standard spring pocket, but with only slight modifications these springs will install & still leave plenty of clearance for most ports!

The all new spring kit will be available with a spring pocket cutter for guys interested in cutting the spring pockets locally, or we offer the service on any of our PRC cylinder heads FREE OF CHARGE!!!

Here's a few of the new springs specs:

Specs:

MAX. OUTSIDE DIAMETER 1.351"
MAXIMUM NET LIFT @ 1.850" I.H. .700"
LOAD 1 (L1=1.850 in) 160
LOAD 2 (L2=1.150in) 460

This spring will be the perfect answer to all the guys pushing the limits of valve control with the aggressive lobes & heavier valves. The LS7 / L92 guys don't have to worry about heavy valve control anymore!

This all new spring should allow budget minded consumers to purchase 400cfm LS7 heads from PRC for low $2000 range! This should bring 600rwhp stroker prices even more reasonable! Look for a LS7 head 420cid LS3 engine with stainless valves on the engine dyno here very shortly! We're shooting for a 700hp street engine that everyone can afford!

They look good. A few questions:

Spring questions:
  1. What material are the springs made of?
  2. Is the spring treated in any way to improve endurance? e.g. Nitride, cryo treat, etc.
  3. What is the I.D. of the outer spring?
  4. What is the I.D. of the inner spring?
  5. How much does the spring weigh?
  6. What is the spring coil bind height?
  7. What is the spring free length?
  8. What is the spring rate?

Retainer questions:
  1. How much does the retainer weigh?
  2. Does the retainer offer additional installed height? e.g. +.050, etc?
  3. Do the retainers use standard LS 7 degree valve locks?

Seat questions:
  1. In the picture the spring seats look titanium; what material are they made of?
  2. How thick is the spring seat?

Thanks!

Nice option for a good price.

Ever look @ coming up with a better option for the guys that are runnign a 1.55 diameter spring, something that could take the place of a crane 9989, without going to solid roller spring rates?

I'm finding that these thigns don't generally last all that long, and have been replacing them once a season which has been adequate, but I'd like to get something on there that's a little more beefy, maybe with a little more spring pressure, something that would retain it's initial pressure a little longer would be nice.

Aaron I can get you most of those specs in the am!

JL this is my last spring for a little while, that large of a spring wouldn't be to much of a big seller for us, we built this one to help control l92 & ls7 valves

Jason, could these be used with a small solid roller if they were shimmed a little?

Chuck.
